To the Daughters of Zion:

Running from Yah’s divine purpose for your life is one of the most dangerous things you can do.

I mean, can you imagine running because you are more fearful of man than you are of Yah Himself? The One Who created you?

Well, that’s been me for the past few years and really as long as I can remember, since I was a teenager. Having a fear of man that is.

But you know, Yah showed me that this fear of man “complex” I have been carrying for years (specifically in my adult life) comes from a spirit of rejection and pride.

Pride in what others thought about me, what they would think, etc.

Fear of rejection, and not doing things we are called to do because of this can cause us miss out on what Ahba has for us, it can make us do things we don’t want to just because we desire to fit in, and even persuade us to make choices that are not the best choices.

I’ve often pondered, what if I continued to squander/not use what Yah has given me because of these two things?

How would I answer to that?

Well, I would not be able to use “fear of man” as an excuse. None of us!

How do I know?

Well, in Isaiah 51:12 Ahba YHWH says, “I, I am He who comforts you. Who are you that YOU should be AFRAID OF MAN THAT DIES, and of the SON OF MAN who is MADE LIKE GRASS?”

Although He was specifically speaking to our ancestors regarding their oppressors at that time, this does apply to us today no matter what we are fearing when it comes to man.

How did I come to that revelation??

Well , He also says in His Word in Jeremiah 17:5-6, “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh His arm, and whose heart turns away from YHWH. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert and not see when good comes, and shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land that is not inhabited.”

One of the things I’m learning about Yah is that He gives us the strength to move forward in order to do what we have to do.

Example: Have you ever dealt with a thought, feeling you did not want to have that just would not go away even after rebuking it and you felt like you couldn’t move forward in the day because the enemy tried to use it to plague you.

Well, I have. But I tell you, every time I would open the bible and read His word, the harmful thought, feeling would subside.

Just like He sent His word to relieve us; He also sends us His strength the very moment we need it.

Although a work in progress, I’m learning that where Yahs strength resides, fear cannot stand.

And you know what, Yah can take our fear, rejection, mistakes, and even rebellion, and use them for His greater purpose; to build His kingdom, others, and ourselves.

All He needs for us to is keep moving forward in what He has called us do.

My desire is to flourish in this present life.

I’m not talking about flourishing the way the world defines it; the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, the pride of life. I mean a while back, I thought having the things of this world was actually the true meaning of success, but it’s not.

I’m talking about flourishing how Yah intended us to; in divine purpose. His purpose, not ours.

I thank Him that He still choose to entrust me and to use me for this specific purpose even after years of trying to choose my own path.

And I hope that as we continue on this journey together that He will continue to uproot everything that’s not of Him.

Sincerely,

Rochon Alesia
